Frontline Health worker among Uganda’s 11 new Coronavirus cases

KAMPALA- The Ministry of Health has released the results from samples tested on Saturday June 13th 2020 confirming 11 new Coronavirus cases.

The new cases are all Ugandans moving Country’s total infections to 696.

According to the Ministry of Health’s breakdown, 6 cases are truck drivers: 3 from Elegu while 3 are from Malaba Points of Entry.

Another case is a frontline health worker and 4 are among contacts and alerts: 1 from Buikwe, 1 from Lira, 1 from Adjumani and 1 from Amuru.

The contact from Adjumani was under quarantine.

Additionally, 33 foreign truck drivers tested positive for Coronavirus and were handed back to their countries of origin.

The country also recorded 21 more recoveries moving to 240 total of people who have recovered from the pandemic.

The new cases are part of the 2,949 tested on Saturday from the border points of entry, alerts and contacts and health workers.
