KABALE- The Kabale district Chairperson Patrick Besigye Keihwa has today formally confirmed his interest to contest National Resistance Movement (NRM) primaries for Kabale District after he picked party nomination forms.
Keihwa picked expression of interest forms and nomination forms for the Kabale District Chairmanship NRM flag bearer at exactl today July 29th 2020, from the NRM Electoral Commission Offices Plot 13 Kyadondo road Kampala.
Keihwa who is seeking his third term as the District Chairman, is hopeful to hold the NRM flag in Party primaries in a hotly contested election against the Katuna Town Council Mayor Nelson Nshangabasheija and the Kyankwanzi Deputy District Resident Commissioner Denis Nzeirwe.
As required by the NRM Constitution Chairman Keihwa who is also the Vice Chairman of Uganda Local Governmemt Authorities for Western Uganda paid the Ugx 1 million as a mandatory requirement.
Speaking to the media after picking the nomination forms, Keihwa asked for unity and calmness among his electorates and promised continued development of Kabale district.
