KAMPALA- The Ministry of Health in Uganda has confirmed two new Coronavirus deaths today from Kampala and Jinja. This brings the total Coronavirus deaths to 41.

Additionally, the Ministry also confirmed 128 new Coronavirus cases from the 4,653 samples tested on Saturday September 5th 2020.

Of the confirmed cases , 120 are contacts and alerts including 95 from Kampala, 13 from Wakiso, 3 from Luweero, 2 from  Nwoya, 1from Amuru, 1 from Jinja , 1 from Kanungu , 1 from Manafwa , 1 from Maracha , 1 from Soroti, and 1 from Zombo.

Other cases include one truck driver who arrived via Elegu and 7 Health workers; 2 of whom are from Kampala, 2 from Lira, 2 from Wakiso and 1 from Mityana.

The ministry says a Rwandan trucker tested positive for Coronavirus at Mirama Hills and his entry was not permitted.

Currently, Uganda registers a cumulative total of 3,667 confirmed cases and 1,608 Ugandan recoveries.
