KAMPALA- Uganda’s Health Ministry has on Sunday August 2nd 2020 recorded a total of 6 new coronavirus cases from the 2,907 samples tested on Saturday August 1st 2020.
According to the Ministerial statement, the newly confirmed cases include two truck drivers who arrived via Malaba, three returnees, two of whom arrived from Somalia and the other one arrived from Saudi Arabia.
The statement added that the 6th case is an alert from Nakaseke.
Additionally, the ministry added that 5 foreign truck drivers who tested positive for Coronavirus at the borders were not permitted entry into the country.
Uganda has todate registered a total of 1,182 confirmed Coronavirus cases, 1,045 recoveries and four deaths.
