GOMBA- The State House Anti Corruption Unit has arrested 2 men who are suspected to have fraudulently obtained land titles of land belonging to President Museveni.

According to the Head of State House Anti Corruption Unit Lt Col Edith Nakalema Asizua, the 2 men were arrested after her office received a complaint. 

However, Lt Col Edith Nakalema Asizua did not indicate the identity of the complainant but clearly indicated that the land titles in question belonged Mr Yoweri Kaguta Museveni.

According to Lt Col Nakalema, the land is situated in Katwekambwa, in Kabulasoke Sub County in Gomba District.

“Working with the Police, investigations were initiated and the suspects arrested” Lt Col Nakalema wrote in her June 29th 2020 Press Statement.

She identified the suspects as Segane Peter and Suuna Jimmy who obtained 5 land titles which were already registered in the names of Yoweri Kaguta Museveni.

“We identified a number of lapses in the processing of the titles at the level of the area land committee, District Land Board and the Ministry of Lands” Lt Col Nakalema explained.

Lt Col Nakalema said that the file in respect of the suspects has been forwarded to the Director of Public Prosecution (DPP) for perusal as investigation continue and any one found culpable will be prosecuted according to the law.
